As you may know, the "ATV bill" has passed in the Senate. It is now in the House Ways and Means Committee and we have good reason to believe that it will be reported favorably in May. It is very important to inundate the house members with emails/letters which reflect the stance of the medical community. This approach was successful in January when over 350 emails were sent to the Senate in a period of 3 days. The bill was released from committee and passed in the days following your robo-letters. Another URL that has been set up by the American College of Surgeons so that surgeon members can quickly email an alert to their reps regarding S2257. The ACS has given me permission to distribute this URL to other groups. It has a text that can be edited and then a few simple clicks completes the message and it is automatically sent to your rep. Please consider filling one out and sending it to anyone that you know (and friends) and ask each to distribute to their friends - we need a very big response...lets make this the biggest chain letter that we can. 1. We need to get #14 sticker decals on all the helmets in the Plymouth Youth Hcokey program. Learn to skate/Learn to Play as well. I will be at the rink the first week in November to get that done. If you would like a #14 sticker, please email us and we will mail you a sticker.
2. We need to distribute Sean Kearney game pucks to all teams in Learn to Play & Mites, we should have those done by December. Done
3. Please join us for our 3rd annual Irish Night on April 3, 2010. Featuring Aeoife Clancy , Eddie Dillon & The Shananigans. The Plymouth Yacht Club. 6-11:00pm. Proceeds from the event will go towards our scholarship fund. Please get your tickets now. They are $25 dollars and can be purchased at Coastal Restoration, Special Tees both in Camelot park. Donations would be appreciated and can be sent to The Kearney's 183 Fairview lane Plymouth Ma 02360. Checks may be made out to the Sean Kearney Memorial. We hope to see you on Saturday.
